The Dissolvable VisiPlug® Lacrimal Plug is a temporary ophthalmic device which occludes the canaliculi to aid in the retention of natural fluid on the eye. The VisiPlug® is available in a variety of sizes to accommodate variations in anatomy and is designed to naturally dissolve over a period of 180 days.

Dissolvable VisiPlug Lacrimal Plugs are indicated for:

• To aid the determination of the potential effectiveness of occlusion therapy with non-dissolvable plugs.
• To temporarily enhance the efficacy of topical medications or ocular lubricants.
• After ocular surgery to prevent complications due to dry eyes.
• To evaluate the treatment of ocular dryness secondary to contact lens use.
• In the treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome and the dry eye components of varying ocular surface diseases.
